FINAL RESULTS

SALEM, Ore. – For the second time in less than a week, Corban's men's golf team won a tournament thanks to a dual match victory over cross town rival and NCAA Division III member Willamette Friday afternoon at Creekside Golf Club.

The Warriors swept the top five spots in the individual standings led by junior Joey Duwe (Kingston, Wash.), who carded a tournament-low 1-over 73 en route to capturing his second straight medalist honor. Rounding out the Top 5 for Corban was junior Chris Dudley (Boise, Idaho), junior Michael May (Salem, Ore.), junior Joey Ziogas (Salem, Ore.), and senior Steve Landis (Gladstone, Ore.).

As a team, Corban shot a combined team score of 20-over 308 versus Willamette's combined total of 102-over 390. All four counting scores for the host Warriors were below 80, as Duwe, Dudley (5-over 77), May (7-over 79), and Ziogas (7-over 79) accounted for Corban's team total with Landis (9-over 81) posting a Top 5 finish but not counting in the overall team score.

Willamette was led by Kyle Derby with an 18-over 90, while Cole Clearman (22-over 94), Jacob Simonson (25-over 97), and Cole Altuzara (37-over 109) rounded out the Bearcats' scoring.

Today's stroke-play victory was the second in program history for Corban, as the Warriors have picked up two wins this year against Willamette with the other one coming via a match-play event during the fall season.

In today's event, Duwe also captured the fifth individual title of his career and shot 75-or-lower for the eighth time this season.

Corban will return to the links on Monday, March 21st, in the opening round of the Warner Pacific Invitational beginning at 8:00 a.m. at Club Green Meadows in Vancouver, Washington.
