Concordia Sweeps Team, Individual Titles at Warner Pacific Invite

VANCOUVER, Wash. – Taylor Schmidt fired an opening round of 5 under par 67 and three round total of 221 (+5) to win the individual title and lead Concordia to the team title at the Warner Pacific Invitational held at Club Green Meadows in Vancouver.

All five of the Cavalier golfers finished in the top 10 after the 36 hole event to post a three round total of 898 and finish 35 strokes clear of second place Northwest Christian.

NCU’s Tyler Falk shot a field best 70 in round two, placing second overall with a score of 224 (+8) and leading the Beacons to the runner-up spot.

Four shots back in 3rd place was Corban University (937), followed by College of Idaho (953), and host Warner Pacific (962).

Rounding out the top five individually were Corban’s Joey Duwe in 3rd (227, +11), followed by Jed Dalton from Concordia and Andrew Johnson from Warner Pacific both at 228 (+12).

All five Cascade Conference teams will be back in action next week, March 28th and 29th at The College of Idaho Invite, held at River Bend Golf Course in Wilder, Idaho.
