LEWISTON, Idaho - Mitch Dame retired 18 of the final 19 batters of the night in a complete game five-hitter, as The College of Idaho extended their win streak to 12 games with a 3-1 victory over fourth-ranked Lewis-Clark State at Harris Field.

The senior, from Kimberly, allowed an unearned run in the second inning on a Kevin Lovelace two-out RBI double, but did not allow another hit after a Braxton Miller leadoff single in the fourth. The Warriors (14-6, 4-5 NAIA West) lone base runner was due to a C of I error in the seventh inning, as Dame picked up his fifth win of the year.

The Coyotes (19-10, 9-4) drew even in the seventh inning, as Tanner Hodges led off with a double - scoring on a two-out RBI single from Todd Griffiths. The C of I would take the lead in the eighth as Anthony Pawelek led off with a walk, with runner Cody Spencer moving to third on an errant pick-off move, one of six L-C errors on the night. Jeffrey Harris followed with an RBI single to put the visitors up for good.

The C of I would get an insurance run in the ninth, as Hodges beat out a one-out infield single and moved to third on a wild pickoff throw. After Kyle Douglas was plunked by a pitch, Douglas got caught in a run-down between first and second long enough for Hodges to score, making it 3-1.

Hodges had two of the Yotes six hits off five L-C pitchers, while five different Warriors logged hits. Tyrell Poggemeyer was solid in his start for LCSC, allowing just two hits in six innings of work.

The two teams continue the four-game series tomorrow with a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
