SALEM, Ore. – After having today's games moved to Joe Brock Park on the campus of Stayton High School, Corban's first-year baseball coach Jeff McKay announced that Friday's games between Corban and Concordia have been cancelled and rescheduled for Sunday.
This is the second time this week and third time this season that the Warriors have had to move games off-campus due to weather and unplayable field conditions. Earlier this week, Corban and NCAA Division III member Lewis & Clark moved a mid-week double header to Emery Field at Joe Brock Park in order to utilize the turf infield. At the beginning of the month, the Warriors also moved a NAIA West series against nationally-ranked British Columbia to Stayton High School and played two games before getting the final two games of the series rained out.
Along with today's announcement, McKay also said that tomorrow's games are been postponed to a later date that is still to be announced and today's games have been moved to Sunday, March 27th, at noon and will be played at Stayton High School.
Pending what happens with the weather over the next 48 hours, this weekend's four-game NAIA West series between Corban and Concordia might be cancelled all together and made-up at a later date.
