LEWISTON, Idaho - A two-out, nine-run rally in the second inning was all Lewis-Clark State needed, as the Warriors claimed the final game of a four-game series with The College of Idaho, winning 12-3 at Harris Field.

A walk, single, and hit by pitch loaded the bases in the second for L-C (), as the Warriors took advantage of a pair of Jesse Vermillion walks to force in two runs, with a fielding error by Cody Spencer plating two more. Reliever Todd Griffiths could not provide help, as Alfonso Casillas greeted him with a two-run single, with Gino Casini and Braxton Miller following with back-to-back RBI triples to make it 8-0.

It was enough for Tyler Barrett, who allowed just three hits in six innings of work for his fourth win of the season, striking out five.

The Yotes (19-13, 9-7) would trail 12-0 late, getting a pair of runs in the seventh – one on a Jarel Lewis sacrifice fly, the other on an Izaac Garsez RBI single, closing the scoring in the eighth on an Anthony Pawelek sacrifice fly.

Trent Bridges went 4-for-5 in the win for L-C, while Garsez extended his hitting streak to 13 games with a 2-for-5 afternoon.

The Yotes will take next week off for Spring Break, before returning to action on April 8-9 at Corban.
