Sara Molyneux holds a one-shot lead heading into tomorrow's final round
WILDER, Idaho - The one-two punch of Sara Molyneux and Sunshine Powers helped the Concordia University women to a big lead heading into the final round of the 2011 College of Idaho Invitational at River Bend Golf Course.
The Cavaliers logged a 36-hole team total of 629, 20 shots clear of host C of I on the windy, Par 72 course.
Molyneux opened the day with the best round of the tournament, a two-over 74, finishing Monday with a two-round total of 153, one shot clear of teammate, Powers.
The Lady Yotes had a quality day, as Trish Gibbens sits five shots off the pace after a 36-hole total of 148, with three others – Baylee Borchers (163), Jocie Cracroft (164), and Breanna Smith (166) all in the Top-10.
NCU sits in third, 138 strokes behind CU, with Sarah Crofcheck leading the Beacons with a total of 168. Warner Pacific is in fourth, four strokes behind NCU – led by Kendall Cowley (177), with Corban in fifth – despite a school record 83 in Round 2 by Caley Hubert.
The five teams will complete the final 18 holes tomorrow with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
