MONROE, Ore. – Concordia University’s men’s and women’s golf teams will take aim on their fourth consecutive conference titles this week at the CCC Golf Championships Presented by Diamond Woods.

The men’s and women’s 54-hole championships will be contested at Diamond Woods Golf Club here. Teams will play 36 holes Monday and the final 18 Tuesday. Play gets underway both days with 8 a.m. shotgun starts.

An NAIA women’s qualifier, which will include three schools from California – Cal Baptist, Biola and Simpson – will run concurrently with the CCC women’s tournament. The winner of the NAIA qualifier will earn an automatic bid to next month’s NAIA Championships in Tennessee.

The Cavaliers enter the tournament having won the CCC regular season crowns for the fourth straight year. The CU men’s team, though, is coming off its first-ever loss in a CCC event, having been upended by Northwest Christian at the College of Idaho Invitational two weeks ago. The CU women are 3-1 in CCC events this season and currently ranked 15th in the country. The Cav women expect to be challenged by College of Idaho, which is ranked 22nd.

Admission to the tournament is free.
