National Administrative Council
This evening the National Administrative Council (NAC) committees for awards and statistics, experience and enhancement, rules and ratings and championship competition discussed key items that will impact postseason competition. All recommendations will go before the full body on Saturday morning.

NAC Championship Competition report:
As part of an overall emerging sport update, the committee reviewed the status of competitive cheer and dance which recently completed its first NAIA invitational this past month. The committee also reviewed a proposal from the Bowling Coaches Association which has requested to host an invitational in 2012.

NAC Rules and Ratings report:
Ratings continues to be a hot topic for coaches in most sports so discussion was focused on criteria, timeline, tie-breaking procedures, conference oversight and release dates. Having just completed year one of a new ratings system in soccer a summary was provided detailing the new process.

NAC Awards and Statistics report:
Discussion started with a review of Player of the Week honors which were awarded in all sports for the 2010-11 academic year. The focus of the meeting was on statistical violations, special event policy language and an overview of scholar-athlete nominations.

NAC Experience and Enhancement report:
A full report was given on conduct in competition and where the NAIA stands with ejections in all sports. The committee will look for ways to implement a process for action taken when negative behavior occurs.
