CALDWELL, Idaho - The College of Idaho swept a key NAIA West North Division doubleheader from Concordia University this afternoon, winning 6-2 and 6-0 at Wolfe Field.

A three-run sixth inning rally in Game 1 erased a Cavaliers (10-27, 4-20) lead - as a Jordan Lanman two-run double gave the Yotes the lead for good.

Bobby Wassmann pitched a complete game, allowing just five hits to notch the win - but CU held a 2-1 lead after a Riley Tubbs RBI triple in the third. The Coyotes (24-14, 14-8) would add to their lead with sacrifice flies from Jesse Dodd and Kyle Douglas, and a pinch hit RBI single from Alex Reyes.

Tanner Hodges went 4-for-5 in the win for the Yotes, while Tubbs had two hits for the Cavs.

Game 2 was a scoreless pitchers' duel through five innings, as Mitch Dame had a four-hitter for the Yotes and Mitch Ludtke had a two-hitter for the Cavs. However, in the sixth, Jordan Lanman led off with a walk and Jeffrey Harris reached on a two-strike bunt single that looked as if it may go foul before Ludtke picked the ball up. Jarel Lewis followed with a two-run triple to give the Yotes the lead. The C of I would tack on four more in the inning, more than enough for Dame, who retired the final 11 men in order to improve to 7-0 on the season.

Todd Griffiths went 2-for-3 for the Yotes - the lone player on either side with a multi-hit game. The two wins helped move The C of I within two games in the loss column of British Columbia in the North Division race.

The two teams close out the series tomorrow at 11 a.m. with a second doubleheader.
