SALEM, Ore. – Corban University's first-year head baseball coach Jeff McKay announced Monday that tomorrow's final home make-up double header between Corban and conference rival Concordia has moved the location of the games to Volcanoes Stadium.
This will be the fifth time this season that the Warriors have utilized the local minor league park's facilities, as Corban has played seven straight games at the home of the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes, the Single-A short season affiliate of the World Champion San Francisco Giants.
Fans will be charged admission into the stadium, as adults are $5.00 and children ages 3-18 are $4.00. Anyone under the age of 3 is admitted free of charge, but parents can purchased a seat for the child at the kid's price if necessary.
Last week, Corban opened with a make-up double header against Concordia defeating the visiting Cavaliers, 8-0 & 3-1, to take over fourth place in the North Division standings. Following the Warriors' sweep over Concordia, Corban dropped three straight games against George Fox and Central Washington with all three games being played at Volcanoes Stadium.
In the series history, Concordia has won 62-out-of-100 meetings all-time with one tie. So far this season, Corban has won two-out-of-three games with Concordia earning a victory in the season-opener, 8-1, at the Red Lion Tournament in Lewiston, Idaho.
Corban and Concordia will meet four more times this season in the final two double headers of the regular season beginning on Friday, April 29th, at 1:00 p.m.
