PORTLAND, Ore.—Eva Everett, a two-year standout at Lower Columbia College after a prep career at Mountain View High School (Vancouver, Wash.), has signed to continue her education and play basketball at Concordia University.

Everett, a 5-foot-9 multi-positional player, was a first-team all-league selection for LCC as a sophomore following second-team honors as a freshman. She helped lead the Red Devils to a 22-6 overall record and a perfect 16-0 mark in league play en route to a NWAACC Western Division championship in 2010-11.

At Mountain View H.S., Everett was a four-time letterwinner for the Thunder. She earned back-to-back all-league recognition while guiding the team to a pair of runner-up results in league play.

“We are excited to add Eva to our roster,” CU head coach Aaron Christian said. “It has been great to watch her progress in her first two years of college at LCC and we look forward to her bringing that work ethic and competitiveness to our program.  Her biggest strength will be her versatility as she can play multiple positions and will fill voids wherever we need her to play.”

Last season, Concordia captured its second Cascade Collegiate Conference championship in the past three years under coach Christian. The Cavaliers finished with a 24-10 overall record after earning a trip to the NAIA National Championships held in Sioux City, Iowa. The Cavs went 13-5 in CCC competitions before capturing the CCC Tournament crown with three straight postseason wins.
