EUGENE, Ore. – CIF Division I All-State standout Travis Pacos has announced his intentions to play at Northwest Christian University next season after a stellar prep career at renowned De La Salle High School in Concord, California.

Head Coach Corey Anderson said, “Travis is a dedicated, blue-collar student-athlete. As a product of the De La Salle Boys Basketball program and Coach Frank Allocco, I expect Travis to have an immediate impact on our men’s basketball program through his hard work, positive attitude and experience as a leader of a championship level high school basketball team.”

Pacos will head to Eugene after leading the Spartans to the CIF Northern Section Championship and an appearance in the CIF Championship game as a senior. He earned First Team All-CIF Northern Section and All-State honors and was named the Contra Costa/Tri-Valley Player of the Year.

Pacos said, “After meeting Coach Anderson and the players, NCU just felt right. Everyone I met on campus was great and Eugene is going to be a great place to go to college. I am excited to get to know my new teammates and to have the opportunity to play basketball at the next level.”

Pacos averaged 15 points per game as a senior and led De La Salle in both scoring and three-point shooting (40%) while ranking second in rebounding. He earned All-Metro Area honors from the San Francisco Chronicle, All-East Bay honors from the Contra Costa Times, and was a First-Team All-East Bay Athletic League selection.

Anderson said, “It goes without saying that for NCU to go into De La Salle High School, and be able to recruit a student-athlete with the caliber of skills and accomplishment that Travis has earned, is a huge success for our university and basketball program.”
