Oregon Tech's Haley Smith
(KLAMATH FALLS, Ore.) The Oregon Tech Lady Owls evened up its season record at 2-2 with a 4-1 win over Simpson University Wednesday afternoon at Trevor Derrah Field.
Oregon Tech was first on the scoreboard in the 5th minute when Brooke Cole took a Meghan Drost cross and scored from 10 feet away.
Drost, the Defending Cascade Conference Player of the Week, was at it again in the 31st minute when she scored from 15 feet out off a great pass from Alysa Castle.
The Red Hawks answered in the 54th minute when Nicole Goens took a cross from her twin sister Natalie Goens and scored from 15 feet away to make it a 2-1 game.
Oregon Tech got back on top 3-1 when Melanie Johnson put back a ball that was deflected off the Simpson goal keeper.
Tech got one more goal in the 83rd minute when Haley Smith scored when she hit a rocket from 25 yard out to make it 4-1
The Lady Owls will have 10 days off until they host Great Falls University at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 25th at Steen Sports Park.
