SALEM, Ore. – Single goals in both halves helped lead Corban to a two-goal victory over the visiting Geoducks of The Evergreen State College, 2-0, in a crucial Cascade Collegiate Conference game Saturday on Warrior Field.

In the 15th minute, Tyler Hagen teamed with Derik Chaney on the eventual game-winning goal, as Hagen netted his team-high tying third goal of the season. Chaney would begin the play by taking the ball along the endline before lifting a pass up and over Evergreen's defense onto a wide-open Hagen, who unleashed a shot that was redirected by a Geoduck defender into the back of the net at the 14:49 mark.

Neither team would get another scoring opportunity over the final 30 minutes of the first half, as Corban held onto a one-goal lead at halftime.

In the 70th minute, Devin Chaney found himself on the receiving end of a redirected shot by Josh Hamilton for his third goal of the season and a two-goal Warrior lead. Hamilton began the play with a shot from 18 yards out that was blocked by a Evergreen defender and found the awaiting foot of Chaney, who rifled home his third and final shot of the game putting the home team up by the score of 2-0.
