Irvine Holds off Portland in Concordia Battle
IRVINE, Calif.—The Concordia (Ore.) women's soccer team dropped its third straight match with a 2-1 loss at No. 20-ranked Concordia (Calif.) on Saturday.

With the result, No. 3-ranked CU-Portland fell to 1-3 on the season while CU-Irvine improved to 5-0.
The Eagles jumped out early on a goal by Rachel Hook, assisted by Felicia Franco, in the 3rd minute, but the Cavaliers responded in the 32nd minute with a goal by Brittany Orr to tie it at 1-1. Loren Kortizija knocked in the game winner in the 79th minute to give Concordia-Irvine the 2-1 victory.
The Cavs return to action against No. 9-ranked The Master’s College on Monday, Sept. 5.
