Herman led the Cavaliers to two road wins in the Cascade Collegiate Conference last week. The 6-foot-6 sophomore forward scored the final 10 points of the game as Concordia came back to defeat Northwest Christian (Ore.), 78-76, on Jan. 13. He finished with 24 points, five rebounds and four steals after Concordia trailed by as many as 19 points. In the 80-70 win over Corban (Ore.) the following day, Herman recorded his seventh double-double of the year with 28 points and 10 boards. He went 8-for-9 (.889) from the field and added three assists.
The native of Vancouver, Wash., averaged 26.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals on the week. He shot 72 percent (18-for-25) overall and 13 of 15 (.867) from the foul line.
Herman ranks first in the NAIA in field goal percentage (.704) and 13th in scoring (20.1 ppg). He is the second CCC player to earn the award in the past three week as after Oregon Tech’s Bobby Hunter captured the honor on Jan. 3.
