Nels Norquist Named Head Volleyball Coach at WPC
PORTLAND, Ore. - Warner Pacific College has named Nels Norquist as their new Head Volleyball Coach, and he will begin his coaching duties immediately.
"We are very happy to have Nels on board and look forward to the Christian leadership he will provide our volleyball program," said athletic director Ryan Kaiser. "His experience in the Cascade Conference makes for a seamless transition, and he has a proven record in recruiting quality student-athletes. The future of our volleyball team is in good hands."
Norquist arrives from Corban University, where he was the head coach for three seasons. His overall record was 34 wins and 39 losses with the Warriors, including a 24-30 record in Cascade Conference play. He also spent one year as head coach at former CCC member Cascade College in 2008. He also has coached at Clackamas Community College, and continues to coach club volleyball with the North Clackamas Volleyball Club.
"I am grateful for the opportunity and for the trust placed in me by everyone at WPC," said Norquist. "There is a lot of potential here and I am excited about moving the program forward in the years ahead."
