LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference schedule begins the second half of conference play this weekend.

On the women’s side, No. 10 Eastern Oregon travels to Oregon Tech in a battle between two of the top three teams in the Cascade Conference. The Lady Owls upset then-ranked No. 9 EOU earlier this season in La Grande. OIT is one spot out of the NAIA Div. 2 Top 25 for the second straight week. Tech is two wins away from its first 20-win season in four years.

Corban University made the largest leap in the latest national poll from No. 21 to No. 15. The Warriors, who have won nine of the last 10 games, are tied with Eastern and Oregon Tech for the conference lead. Corban is at Northwest and Evergreen this weekend. College of Idaho and Warner Pacific College are each one-game behind first place in the conference.

The second game of the night Friday in Klamath Falls features the lone matchup between Top 25 teams in the conference this weekend, as No. 2 Oregon Tech hosts No. 25 Eastern Oregon. The Hustlin’ Owls reached their highest spot in the national poll this season Monday. The Mountaineers have not won at OIT since Feb. 16, 1979.

Concordia, the national leader in offensive field goal percentage, welcomes its cross-town rival No. 8 Warner Pacific College Saturday night. When the pair of Portland programs on Dec. 18 at WPC, the Knights pulled out an 80-76 win. The game featured nine lead changes, with Concordia leading by as many as eight in the first half.
