LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference schedule continues with another full state of competition this Friday and Saturday. Including this weekend, there are only four more weeks of conference-play.

The men’s weekend schedule is highlighted by a pair of NAIA Div. 2 top 10 teams facing off Saturday in Portland. Oregon Tech takes its new top-ranking to No. 8 Warner Pacific College. The battle in C.C. Perry Gymnasium Saturday is a rematch of the Knights’ stunning 85-75 win in Klamath Falls on Dec. 29. The victory ended the Owls’ 65-game home win streak. Both teams currently sit atop the conference standings. WPC is the only team in the conference with an undefeated home record, 9-0, and Tech is the lone team in the CCC with an undefeated road record, 7-0.

Two games Friday feature a ranked opponent versus an opponent that is receiving votes in the national poll, as No. 11 Northwest is at Eastern Oregon and Southern Oregon is at Warner Pacific. The Knights must first play the talented Raiders, before its game against Oregon Tech. Southern won the first meeting against WPC in Ashland, 81-69. Northwest is attempting to complete a regular-season sweep over the Mountaineers.

The Cascade Collegiate Conference women’s race continues to get more exciting as this week the top five teams are separated by only two games. The top four teams boast multiple-game win streaks, led by Corban’s five in-a-row. No. 8 Eastern Oregon has won six of the last seven, No. 14 Corban has won 11 of the last 12, College of Idaho has won seven of the last nine, and Warner Pacific has won five of the last six.

A key matchup in Portland between currently fourth-place Warner Pacific and fifth-place Oregon Tech features a pair of teams a half-game apart. The Lady Owls won in Klamath Falls earlier this season, 71-62.
