NU's Jackson Joins 1,000 Point Club
KIRKLAND, Wash. - Northwest University's senior post, Jessalyn Jackson of Vancouver, Wash., has joined the 1,000 career point club as she now has 1,097 points for the 2011-12 season.
Her 1,000th point came earlier this season against Montana Tech on December 9 in the NU 80-68 win over the Orediggers in the Northwest Pavilion. Jackson scored 13 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for the night to put her over the 1,000 point plateau for her 4-year career.
Jackson currently leads the CCC in blocked shots and is third in scoring. She is currently ranked #1 in the NAIA Division II in four categories: 1) blocks per game (5.364), 2) offensive rebounds per game (4.818), 3) total rebounds per game (12.091), and 4) total blocks (59). Jessalyn is ranked #7 in the NAIA Division II in points per game (21.364) and defensive rebounds per game (7.273).
Jessalyn has recorded 9 double-doubles so far this season and had 8 double-doubles in the 2010-11 season.
