SOU Dominates CCC Preview Meet
MEN'S RESULTS
PORTLAND, Ore. - Placing five runners in the top 12, Southern Oregon walked away with a convincing win at the Warner Pacific Open held at Lents Park in Portland.
The meet also served as the Cascade Conference Preview, with seven CCC squads taking a look at the course that will host the 2012 CCC Championships.
SOU's Eric Avila was the individual champion, crossing the line in a meet record time of 24:32. The previous mark was set back in 2004 by Erik Griffiths of Eastern Oregon.
Unattached runner Alex Dillard placed 2nd in 24:37, followed by Stephen Kersh of University of Portland. Concordia'a Andrew Landstrom and Scott McIntyre of SOU rounded out the top 5.
Southern Oregon's team score of 34 was easlily the winning mark, with Portland finishing 2nd with 72 points. Northwest Christian made a strong showing, placing 3rd with 97 points.
