SOU Athletics/Providence Team Up For Breast Cancer Awareness
ASHLAND -- Southern Oregon Athletics and Providence have teamed up for the second straight year for Breast Cancer Awareness.
With the agreement, SOU Athletics will host three home events to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness, starting with this Friday's home volleyball match against Evergreen. SOU will also host Breast Cancer Awareness events during the basketball (Feb. 15) and softball (Spring 2013) seasons.
As part of the events, SOU Athletics will donate a portion of the paid admission to the Sister Therese Kohles Fund. The fund is a charitable mammography fund administered by the Leila J. Eisenstein Breast Center at Providence, the region's only Breast Center of Excellence as designated by the American College of Radiology.
Fan are encouraged to wear pink at these events and will also have a chance to donate to the Fund at the events.
