(KLAMATH FALLS, Ore.) – Corban University scored two first half goals and added a third with just eighteen seconds remaining in the game to down Oregon Tech 3-0 on Trevor Derrah Field Wednesday afternoon.
Corban improves to 7-6-3 on the season and 6-5-1 in CCC play with the win. Tech falls to 1-13-1 and 1-10-1 in CCC play with the loss.
The Warriors got on the scoreboard early as Arsinio Walker took a Aaron Kinnes pass and beat the OIT keeper for the goal in the 9th minute.
Kinnes would give Corban a 2-0 lead in the 26th minute as he took a loose ball, dribbled around a defender and scored high and hard in the upper right of net from 20 yards out.
Oregon Tech had several scoring opportunities in the first half but good defense by the Warriors kept OIT off the scoreboard as Corban out shot Tech 9-7 in the opening frame.
Corban would turn up the pressure in the second half, out shooting OIT 12-5.
The Warriors would go up 3-0 when with just eighteen seconds remaining; Josh Hamilton would take a Tyler Hagen cross and finish from 5 yards out.
Oregon Tech will next host Evergreen State for its final home game this Saturday, October 27 at 1:00 pm. Corban will next travel to Portland, Ore. to play Warner Pacific College on Saturday.
