Red Lion Players of the Week Announced
The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period November 12-18.
Women’s Basketball
Southern Oregon’s Melissa Sweat has been chosen the Red Lion Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for Nov. 12-18.
Sweat, a junior from Bakersfield, Calif., continued her dominant early-season play, totaling 50 points on 17 of 22 shooting in a pair of wins at the OIT Tournament. She also scored 11 points on only four shots in 15 minutes of court time during a blowout win over Pacific Union and only played seven minutes against Hope International, scoring three points, grabbing three rebounds and tallying two assists and a block before coming out with the Raiders leading by 30 points. For the week, she was 21-of-28 overall, including 5-of-8 from three-point range

Men’s Basketball
Southern Oregon’s Eric Thompson has been chosen the Red Lion Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for Nov. 12-18.
Thompson, a sophomore from Roseburg, Ore., helped the Raiders pick up a pair of wins at the OIT Tournament, connecting on 15 of 23 shots and grabbing 15 rebounds in the two games.
