LA GRANDE, Ore. – With fall championships completed Concordia University has a slight lead in the Cascade Collegiate Conference All-Sports Trophy race.
Top four finishes in 4 of 5 fall championships, including the title in men’s soccer leaves CU with 80 points thus far. Hot on their heels is The College of Idaho with 73.5 points. The Yotes own championships in volleyball and women’s cross country and finished second overall in men’s cross country.
Southern Oregon University, Northwest University and Eastern Oregon University round out the top 5 with 62 and 58.5 and 54 points respectively. SOU earned first place points in men’s cross country while the Eagles of NU claimed the top spot in women’s soccer. The Raiders and Mountaineers land in the top five despite earning points in only 4 of 5 categories as neither school sponsors men’s soccer.
Points are based on regular season finish and are awarded for each institution sponsoring a sport. Final points and standings are determined using each institutions eight highest place finishes.
The next release of standings will be after the completion of men’s and women’s basketball.
