Red Lion Players of the Week Announced
The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period October 29-November 4.
Women’s Soccer- Defensive
Jenna Peterson from Concordia University has been chosen the Red Lion Player of the Week for Women's Soccer-Defense for the week of Oct. 29-Nov. 4.
Peterson, a senior from Federal Way, Wash., helped CU hold SOU to just four shots (only one of which was on goal) for the team's 10th shutout of the season. The team captain and center back led the team in the CCC semifinal win.

Women’s Soccer- Offensive
Northwest University’s Jessica Oliver has been chosen as the Red Lion Women's Soccer-Offensive Player of the Week for Oct. 29- Nov. 4.
Oliver, a junior from North Bend Wash., has scored the game winner in the last three games and now leads NU with 8 goals and 1 assist for 17 points. Oliver has scored at least one goal in four straight games.

Men’s Soccer-Defensive
College of Idaho’s Chenjerai Simpson has been selected as the Red Lion Player of the Week for Men's Soccer-Defense for the week Oct. 29-Nov. 4.
Simpson, a senior from St. Johns, Antigua, Was instrumental in the back line as the Coyotes completed back-to-back shutouts of OIT to end the 2012 season.

Men’s Soccer-Offensive
College of Idaho’s Emilio Yomaha has been chosen as the Red Lion Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for Oct. 29-Nov.4.
Yomaha, a sophomore from, Mendiolaza, Argentina, scored a hat trick in the Coyotes win against OIT on Friday.

Volleyball Hitter of the Week
Corban’s Chandra Teague has been chosen the Red Lion Volleyball Hitter of the Week for Oct. 29-Nov. 4.
Teague, a senior from Gresham, Ore., registered a combined 39 kills to go along with 19 digs. The fourth-year Warrior also made history this weekend becoming the first player in program history to register 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in a career ending with 1,017 kills and 1,138 digs.

Volleyball Libero of the Week
College of Idaho’s Janel Porter has been chosen as the Red Lion Volleyball Libero of the Week for Oct. 29-Nov. 4.
Porter, a junior from Eagle, Idaho, averaged 5.63 digs per game as the Yotes defeated SOU and OIT to win the CCC regular season championship.

Volleyball Setter of the Week
Corban’s Katherine Salness has been chosen the Red Lion Volleyball Setter of the Week for Oct. 29-Nov. 4.
Salness, a sophomore from Portland, Ore., helped guide Corban to a season-ending two victories, as the second-year Warrior handed out a combined 80 assists to go along with 19 digs.

Women’s Basketball
Southern Oregon’s Melissa Sweat has been chosen the Red Lion Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for Oct. 29-Nov. 4.
Sweat, a junior from Bakersfield, Calif., has been dominant in her first two games after transferring from San Diego State, surpassing 20 points in both wins while totaling nine steals and shooting 19-of-32 from the field

Men’s Basketball
Oregon Tech’s Mihajlo Matic has been chosen the Red Lion Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for Oct. 29-Nov. 4.
Matic, a junior from Belgrade, Serbia, led Oregon Tech with 57 combined points including 10-16 from 3-point range against UC Merced.
Honorable mention: Michael Greene, NU, Stephen Harris, WPC
Women’s Cross Country
College of Idaho’s Hilary Holt has been chosen the Red Lion Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for Oct. 29-Nov. 4.
Holt, a junior from Boise, Idaho, broke the C of I and Lents Park course records in winning the 2012 CCC Individual Championship and leading the Yotes to the team title.

Men’s Cross Country
College of Idaho’s Greg Montgomery has been chosen the Red Lion Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for Oct. 29-Nov. 4.
Montgomery, a senior from Boise, Idaho, won his second-straight CCC title in dominating fashion by 27 seconds and has placed 1
st in all five races he has run this year.
