VALLEJO, Calif. –
 The Southern Oregon women’s basketball team built a 21-point halftime lead and coasted to a 92-63 road victory over California Maritime Sunday afternoon, defeating the Keelhaulers for the third time this season.

Southern Oregon improves to 12-1 overall with the win and will return to action Friday. The Raiders will host No. 10 Eastern Oregon in a Cascade Collegiate Conference game at 5:30 p.m. at Bob Riehm Arena.

Melissa Sweat scored a game-high 20 points for the Raiders and added eight rebounds and two blocks. Alexi Smith made eight of her 10 shot attempts to score 18 points and tallied eight rebounds. Allison Gida posted a double-double with 16 points and a game-best 10 rebounds to go with four assists, and Angelica Cahee added 10 points.

Shante Sands led California Maritime with 15 points and Tatjana Pitts added 10 for the Keelhaulers. Southern Oregon made 50.7 percent of its shots (38-of-75), while California Maritime made only 32.9 percent (24-of-73) of its shot attempts. The Raiders also out-rebounded the Keelhaulers 57-25 and tallied 19 assists to CMA’s three.
