Gregg Featured Guest on Northwest Sports Tonight
PORTLAND, Ore. – Warner Pacific College women’s basketball head coach Matt Gregg, will be the featured guest on the Cascade Collegiate Conference segment on KPAM radio’s "Northwest Sports Tonight with Ron Callan,” Monday.
The Knights (19-8, 13-3 Cascade Collegiate Conference) swept the weekend with wins at home over Northwest Christian Friday and No. 10 Corban University Saturday. WPC now has the longest win streak in the conference, and sits tied atop the CCC standings with one week left in the regular season. Warner Pacific has won 12 of its last 13 games with the lone loss being a 63-62 overtime setback at Corban.
Saturday, the Knights honored six seniors with the 63-49 upset win over Corban on Senior Night in the C.C. Perry Gymnasium. Christensen registered a double-double for Warner Pacific, scoring 13 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Jackson added 11 points and six assists. WPC controlled most of the game and pulled away from the Warriors in the second half. The Knights stretched the lead to 16 points in the second half.
The Knights travel to Eastern Oregon University and No. 23 The College of Idaho Friday and Saturday for their final regular season games. Eastern is a few spots out of the top 25 poll and receiving 25 votes. WPC fell to Eastern earlier this season, but beat The College of Idaho. Both games were in Portland.
