Cascade Conference to Release Tournament Brackets with Live Video
LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference will release the 2012 women’s and men’s postseason conference tournament brackets through live video stream Saturday.
In a “Selection Sunday” style the eight qualifying women’s and men’s teams will first learn their fates through the live video stream from La Grande, Ore. Once the live show is finished the brackets will be released on CascadeConference.org.
“With the end of the regular season and the close race for several seeding spots within both men's and women's basketball we feel like this is a great way to highlight the excitement around the CCC for the upcoming post season tournaments,” Cascade Conference Interim Commissioner Rob Cashell said. “It also provides a media venue for all of our Conference fans to be part of the bracket announcement in a different way than past years.”
The 2012 Cascade Collegiate Conference women’s and men’s basketball tournaments will be held at campus sites Feb. 22-28. Seeding for the eight-team, single-elimination tournament will be based on final regular season conference finish.
The winners of the CCC regular season and the CCC tournament earn automatic bids to the NAIA Div. 2 Championships. If the regular season champion also wins the tournament, the tournament runner-up will earn the league's second automatic bid to the national tournament.
The live bracket release video stream will begin at 10 p.m. through CascadeConference.org or http://www.livestream.com/eousports
