LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference women’s basketball tournament has reached its final four teams that will play in the conference semifinals Friday. The CCC Championships follow Monday.
#4 Warner Pacific at #1 Corban

The Warriors enter the postseason as the No. 10 in NAIA Div. 2 for the third straight week. The ranking is the highest in program history. The teams split the season series with each home team pulling out victories. The Jan. 13 meeting in Salem was a 63-62 overtime win for the Warriors. On Feb. 3, Warner Pacific controlled the Portland meeting leading by as many as 16 points and winning 63-49 over the 10th-ranked Warriors.
The Knights’ Chelsey Christensen combined for 33 points and 20 rebounds against Corban this season. Corban has won five of the last six over Warner Pacific in the C.C. Perry Gymnasium, and seven of the last 10. The game matches up the top two teams in the CCC in field goal percentage and assists per game. The Warriors have won 15 of their 16 home games this season, while WPC is 7-8 on the road.
#3 Eastern Oregon at #2 College of Idaho

The No. 20 Lady Yotes have won nine of their last 10 contests, including four straight. Eastern Oregon enters the game on a four-game win streak of its own. The Mountaineers last lost at The College of Idaho on Feb. 10, 44-40. Both meetings this season have been decided by four points, with the home teams victorious. EOU won the Jan. 13 meeting in La Grande, 56-52. The Yotes led for 30 minutes by as many as 11 points in the first half and seven in the second half at Eastern, before falling.
Defense has dominated both meetings this year, as EOU won the first game shooting 32 percent from the field, and C of I won in Caldwell shooting 32 percent from the field also. In the two meetings this season, the Yotes have thrown a combined 48 turnovers, while Eastern has committed 45 turnovers. C of I has won five straight at home over the Mountaineers.
