The weather in the Willamette Valley has affected Corban's baseball team for the second straight weekend, as Saturday's double header against D-III Willamette has been cancelled.
Corban's Series Finale Against Rival Cancelled
SALEM, Ore. – Corban University's head baseball coach Jeff McKay announced that Saturday's double header between Corban and cross town rival Willamette has been cancelled due to the amount of rain that fell in the Willamette Valley over the past 12 hours.
There is a tentative plan to make-up one of the two games lost on Monday, but that has not been confirmed.
Corban and Willamette opened its scheduled weekend series yesterday at John Lewis Field, as the Bearcats defeated the Warriors, 17-5.
If Corban cannot play on Monday, then the Warriors will return to the diamond on Friday, March 2nd, against NAIA West member and No. 11-ranked Lewis-Clark State in the first of a four-game series in Lewiston, Idaho.
