PT. LOOKOUT, Mo. - No. 1 seed Northwood of Florida showed they are the top seed in this year's NAIA Division II National Championships as they ended the Eagles dream season with a convincing 77-50 victory in the quarterfinals this afternoon in Keeter Gymnasium.
The Eagles 28% shooting in the first half along with red hot 64% shooting by the Seahawks made for a 44-19 first half lead which the Eagles were never able to overcome.

Northwood (33-3) was led by Masse Doumbe's 19 points who shot 60% for the game (6-10) and added 9 rebounds. Jonathan Dunn added 16 points and Patrick Horstmann and Noah Keeton each scored 10 for the Seahawks. Northwood shot 52% for the contest and 41% from the 3 point line. Northwood held a 33-25 rebounding edge.
"It's unfortunate the season had to come to an end because this group of young men enjoy playing with one another," said John Van Dyke, NU head coach. "This loss will certainly not define our season which proved to be one of the most successful in school history. We have a great deal to be proud of and our guys represented themselves and the university in an outstanding manner. We will miss this group of six seniors."
