Skillman Named to the NAIA All-Tourney Team
PT. LOOKOUT, Mo. - Northwest University's Rich Skillman was named to the 2012 NAIA Division II National Championships All-Tournament Team today in Pt. Lookout, Mo. The announcement was made following Oregon Tech's national title game at Keeter Gymnasium last night.
The 6-2 senior from Everson, Wash., averaged 14.3 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 3.3 steals per game for the three games in the national tournament.
"Rich's performance in the national tournament is indicative of how he's played for us in big games all year long," said John Van Dyke, Eagle head coach. "Rich has been a joy to coach for the past four years and have as a member of our basketball program. We will miss him a great deal. He is a total team player."
Rich joined an impressive group, including the tournament MVP,Bobby Hunter from the national champions, Oregon Tech.
