SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Eastern Oregon University women’s basketball student-athlete, Korrie Bourn, was named All-Tournament second team at the NAIA Div. 2 National Championships Tuesday.
Following Northwestern’s (Iowa) third straight national championship victory, the All-Tournament teams were announced. The Red Raiders defeated College of the Ozarks (Mo.) in the national title game, 75-62. C of O ended EOU’s Cinderella run in the tournament.
Bourn became the first Mountaineer to ever be named to an All-Tournament Team at the National Championships after she averaged 11.6 points and 10 rebounds per game. The Winthrop, Wash., native grabbed nine offensive rebounds at this year’s event. Bourn totaled nine assists and nine steals as well.
The junior ended the year averaging 9.4 points per game for Eastern (25-9). She added an average of 7.5 rebounds per outing. Bourn led EOU in steals and rebounds per game this season.
