KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference had a quartet of schools in the first regular season softball Top 25 poll released Tuesday.

Oregon Tech (17-3) leads the CCC with a No. 5 ranking. The defending national champion Lady Owls opened the season at No. 1 in the preseason poll. OIT received three first place votes in the newest poll. Tech opened the season 4-2, before going on a 13-game win streak.

Corban made one of the biggest moves in the poll climbing from No. 23 to No. 16. The Warriors (16-4) have won five of their six games at home so far this season and are 9-0 on neutral fields.

The College of Idaho (18-4) is off to one of the best starts in school history, and moved from receiving votes to No. 22. The Lady Yotes have won 12 of their last 13 games. Concordia (9-11) received one vote in the latest poll.

Many Cascade Conference programs begin their conference schedules this weekend. Only Corban and College of Idaho have played their regularly scheduled doubleheader. Inclement weather has forced many postponements and cancellations around the conference. For up-to-the-minute information on CCC softball, check CascadeConference.org.
