College of Idaho Leads Point Total for CCC All-Sports Trophy
LA GRANDE, Ore. – With fall and winter championships completed, The College of Idaho has a slight lead in the Cascade Collegiate Conference All-Sports Trophy race.
The Yotes captured championships in volleyball, as well as women’s cross country. A second place finish in women’s basketball and third in men’s cross country has helped C of I earn 102 overall points thus far. Concordia follows closely in second place with 96 points. The Cavaliers own championships in both men’s and women’s soccer and finished second overall in men’s and women’s cross country
Southern Oregon and Northwest are tied for third place with 86 points. Corban rounds out the top five with 84 points.
Points are awarded based on regular season finishes. Two points are awarded for each institution sponsoring a sport. Points are tallied using each institutions eight highest place finishes.
Spring sports remaining to complete include baseball, softball, men’s and women’s track and field and men’s and women’s golf.
