LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Eastern Oregon University softball home doubleheaders against Northwest Christian and Concordia scheduled for Friday and Saturday have been moved to Caldwell, Idaho.

Constant rain and snow has soaked the field and made it unplayable this weekend. With forecasts and better field conditions at The College of Idaho, the changes were made with help from the C of I staff along with the Cascade Collegiate Conference.

The quadruple headers for Friday and Saturday is as follows; Concordia at College of Idaho at 1 p.m. Mountain Time. Eastern and Northwest Christian will follow at 5 p.m. MT. Saturday, C of I and Northwest Christian have a first pitch at 11 a.m. MT, and EOU and Concordia then play at 3 p.m. MT. Live stats will be available for each game. Admission to the games are $5 for adults and $2 for seniors, students and children.

The Mountaineers (4-4) also moved their Monday home date with College of Idaho, to Sunday at 11 a.m., in Caldwell. Eastern Oregon swaps home dates with C of I, and will host the Yotes now on April 10. EOU has not played a regular season game since Feb. 24, one-day shy of a month break in-between regular season games. The Mountaineers have cancelled six games and postponed six other games due to weather.

Eastern has yet to have a home regular season contest this season. The Mountaineers total eight games played is well behind the rest of the conference. Southern Oregon is closest to EOU in fewest games played with 16.
