LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Eastern Oregon University track and field team took advantage of sunny skies and hosted their final home meet this season Saturday.

The Mountaineers' Robbie Haynie became the first athlete in the NAIA this season to clear seven feet in the high jump. The senior had a top mark of 7 feet, 0.5 inch to win the event. He now has the top pole vault and high jump marks in the NAIA.

Haynie later broke his personal record in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.32. The Nampa, Idaho, native won the event over College of Idaho's Austin Basterrechea. His 22 feet, 9.25 inch leap won the long jump as well.

Trevor Barrett hit an NAIA provisional-qualifying mark to win the hammer throw. His toss of 52.87 meters narrowly missed the auto-mark of 53 meters. It's currently the 18th best mark in the NAIA.

In her first meet as a Mountaineer, Brooke Randall hit an NAIA provisional mark in the javelin throw. The junior had a top throw of 132 feet, 7 inches. Jamie Murchison won the event with a mark of 133 feet, 2 inches. Murchison has already auto-qualified for the national championships.

Jake Wilcox hit a personal best of 50 feet, 6 inches in the shot put, coming up just a 1.5 inch short of the NAIA provisional mark. His previous best was 47 feet, 4.5 inches from just last week in Spokane.

The Mountaineers travel to Nampa, Idaho, next week for the Northwest Nazarene Invitational.
