For the second time this season, Corban and Northwest Christian moved its schedule double header to another day due to potential bad weather in the Willamette Valley.
Double Header Between Rivals Corban and Northwest Christian Moved to Tuesday at 1 PM
SALEM, Ore. – Wednesday's make-up double header between Cascade Collegiate Conference rivals Corban and Northwest Christian has been moved up one day due to the forecast that shows potentially 0.60 inches of rain falling in the Willamette Valley over the next 48 hours.
The double header between the Warriors and Beacons will now be played tomorrow – Tuesday, April 17th – beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Warrior Field in Salem. This is the second time this season that Corban and Northwest Christian have had to move the scheduled double header that was originally slated to be played on March 30th.
Heading into Tuesday's double header, Corban has won 18-of-27 previous meetings between the two teams that includes a current eight-game winning streak against Northwest Christian dating back to the 2009 season. The Warriors have also won 13 of the last 14 games against the Beacons dating back to the 2008 season.
Corban (25-9 overall, 10-6 in CCC games) is riding a current six-game winning streak – the longest in the Cascade Collegiate Conference – and sits in a two-way tie for second place with Concordia. Meanwhile, Northwest Christian (7-27 overall, 3-12 in CCC games) is coming into tomorrow's contests have lost seven of its last eight games.
