EUGENE, Ore. - Greg Montgomery and Hillary Holt each hit NAIA "A" qualifying marks, leading The College of Idaho contingent at the Oregon Relays, hosted by the University of Oregon, at historic Hayward Field.

Montgomery placed fifth in a competitve 5,000-meter field, recording a time of 14:31.53 - the ninth fastest mark in the NAIA this spring. Holt recorded a time of 4:36.34 in the 1,500-meters, the fifth-fastest time in the NAIA - her first 1,500 race in an injury sidelined her prior to the NAIA Indoor National Championships, where she was seeded No. 1 in the mile.

The C of I had four other runners in the 5,000-meters, but none of the competitors improved on their best mark of the season.

The remaining members of the squad will compete tomorrow at the Northwest Nazarene Open in Nampa.
