WILDER, Idaho – Sara Molyneux led a trio of Concordia University golfers in the top-four, as the No. 13 ranked Cavaliers hold a commanding lead after Day 1 of the College of Idaho Invitational at River Bend Golf Course.

Molyneux used a three-under 69 in Round 2 to take a one-stroke lead after 36 holes, carding a one-under 143. Teammate Sunny Powers carded a pair of even-par 72s – sitting one-stroke back, with Holly Speer in fourth after a five-over 149. CU (298-300 598) recorded the two low rounds as a team and holds a 39-stroke lead on the host Lady Yotes with 18 holes remaining.

The C of I (327-312 639), ranked No. 18 in the NAIA, rebounded from a rough Round 1 to card a 312 in the afternoon, as Trish Gibbens sits in third at three-over par – including a 71 in Round 1, equaling the lowest round in program history. Teammates Baylee Borchers and Jocie Cracroft are in the Top-10, Borchers 14-strokes off the pace, with Cracroft 18-strokes back.

Though both Warner Pacific (329-328 657) and Corban (365-354 719) were well off the pace, both set school-records with their lowest team rounds in the afternoon. Scotti Jo Helmick leads WP, sitting in fifth at 11-over, while Morgan McComish shot a pair of 88s to lead Corban. North Idaho College (373-358 731) rounds out the top-five.

Northwest Christian did not field a full team, however, Sarah Crofcheck is in fifth overall at 11-over par.

Day 2 of the tournament will begin with an 8 a.m. shotgun start for the final round.
