Concordia Crowned as Cascade Conference All-Sports Champion
LA GRANDE, Ore. – With the 2011-12 conference championships completed, the Concordia University Cavaliers have secured the Cascade Collegiate Conference All-Sports Trophy with 137 points.
Concordia earned championships in both men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s golf and men’s and women’s track and field. They also finished second overall in men’s and women’s cross country.
The College of Idaho finished a close second with 130 points. The Yotes won the CCC volleyball and women’s cross country championships and finished second in women’s basketball and women’s track and field.
Rounding out the top five were Southern Oregon University with 115 points, Eastern Oregon University with 107 points and Corban University with 101 points.
Points are awarded based on regular season finish. Two points are awarded for each institution sponsoring a sport. Points are tallied using each institutions eight highest place finishes.

Note: points are awarded based on regular season conference finish in a maximum of eight sports. Two points are awarded for each institution sponsoring a sport ( If 10 teams sponsor a sport, the first-place team receives 20 points, the second-place team 18 points, the third-place team 16 points, etc.).
