EUGENE, Ore. – Sophomore golfer Calvin Green was named to the Co-SIDA/Capitol One Academic All-District At-Large team at the College Division. Green is the first male athlete in NCU history to achieve honors in District 8, which consists of NAIA athletes from Washington, Oregon, and California.
As a First-Team Academic All-District honoree, Green, who has achieved junior academic status in his second year of eligibility with NCU, will advance to the Capitol One Academic All-America Team ballot. The Academic All-America team will be announced on June 4th. The At-Large sport collective include those sports which do not have their own category including golf, swimming, tennis, wrestling, and water polo among others.
Green (Springfield, Ore.), who was also named NCU’s Co-Male Scholar Athlete of the Year this season is an Exercise Science major with a 3.93 GPA. He also earned Academic All-Conference honors earlier this year.
