Concordia finished in the top 15 at nationals for the seventh time in eight seasons.

GREENEVILLE, Tenn.—Behind two of the best all-time individual finishes in school history, the Concordia women’s golf team ended the four-round NAIA National Championships held at the Link Hills Golf & Country Club tied for 12th place.
Concordia (311-311-320-318—1,262) finished with a final score of 1,262 (+94) for its lowest total score in eight straight appearances at the NAIA championships. The team held a previous low of 1,273 set during the 2009-10 season. The Cavaliers shared 12th place with Bethel (319-16-310-317—1,262) after leading the Pilots by one stroke to start the day.
Concordia entered the tournament ranked No. 13 in the NAIA according to the latest coaches’ poll. The team also improved upon a 13th-place finish last season.
The University of British Columbia (305-299-304-303—1,211) held off Savannah College of Art & Design (310-295-304-304—1,213) by two strokes for their fourth NAIA team title.  The Thunderbirds, ranked No. 2 in the NAIA, last won the crown in 2010. Embry-Riddle (308-304-308-295—1,215) fired the low round of the day to move into third place, just four strokes off UBC.
Sunny Powers (74-72-78-81—305) and Sara Molyneux (76-74-79-79—308) placed 19th and 21st overall to lead the Cavalliers. Powers, just a sophomore, moved up from a 40th-place finish last season while Molyneux finished with her highest result at nationals in four attempts. Molyneux’s previous best was a 27th-place ending in 2010.
Powers becomes just the second Cavalier to crack the top 20 at the NAIA championships. Linday Aho, a current assistant coach for the program, holds the top two finishes after coming in 13th in2008 and 16th in 2009.  
Senior Holly Speer (80-82-84-76—322) posted her finest round of the tournament on Friday to finish in 69th place with a 30-over 322 for 54 rounds of play. Freshman Madison Alamillo (85-85-87-82—339) also saved her best for last with a 9-over 82 on the fourth and final day of competition while Jenna Boyle (81-83-81-85—330) finished 79th overall for an eight-spot jump from last season.
University of Victoria’s Megan Woodland (73-70-76-3—292) captured medalist honors with a one-stroke win over Oklahoma Christian’s Anna Arrese Cortaellas (74-73-73-73—293). Returning champion Kylie Barros (79-73-72-73—297) from UBC finished in fifth place, just five strokes back, after working her way up from 58th place following a 6-over 79 in her first round.
