LEWISTON, Idaho - The College of Idaho made their final preparations for tomorrow's AVISTA-NAIA World Series opener against Point Park (Pa.) with a whirlwind day.

C of I fans can watch the game live online (pay-per-view) at https://www.nmnathletics.com//subs/Landing.dbml?&&DB_OEM_ID=27900&db_oem_id=27900, watch live stats at http://www.dakstats.com/websync/Pages/Tournament/TournamentPage.aspx?association=10&sg=MBA&tour=852, or listen to audio live (for free) at http://www.koze-sports.com.

The team began with batting practice at Harris Field at 8 a.m. this morning - and got a scare when All-NAIA West shortstop Tanner Hodges took a bad hop to the right cheek. After being checked out by the training staff, Hodges was given a clean bill of help, despite a shiner.

The Yotes took individual head shots for the televison broadcast and a team photo - then traveled to Asotin, Wash., where they had lunch and played at recess with the second, third, and fourth graders at Asotin Elementary School.

Eleven players took part in the NAIA World Series clinic during the afternoon, before the World Series Gala tonight.

NOTE - Watch for coverage this weekend on KTVB Channel 7, as reporter Jay Tust has made the trip to Lewiston, while KBOI Channel 2 will have coverage through their sister-station, KLEW in Lewiston. Also, watch the Idaho Press Tribune, as beat-writer Mike Stetson is in Lewiston with the team for complete World Series Coverage. The Yotes will be the visiting team tomorrow and be in the home dugout - despite winning the coin toss. Why? Batting practice starts at 7 a.m. for the home team - with a one-hour wait between BP and infield work - and the Yotes did not want to get cold during the wait.
