Corban University Announces All-New WarriorTV to Launch This Fall
SALEM, Ore. – Corban University's Director of Athletics Dave Johnson announced Friday that the University has partnered with Stretch Internet and TNT Management Resources, Inc. with the all-new WarriorTV that will launch later this month.
“I am very pleased Stretch Internet and TNT Management Resources, Inc. have decided to partner with Corban University in the launch of the all-new WarriorTV,” said Johnson. “Both Joey and Teresa have been a big support to Corban. Their involvement in the community with FORE! Salem, the NAIA Championships and FCA has already influenced many student-athletes. The addition of Stretch Internet to our multimedia platform will help to enhance our presence in the community, while also allowing our student-athletes the opportunity to benefit professionally with this leap into the 21st Century. I'd like to personally thank Joey and Teresa, Ryan and his team at Stretch Internet, everyone involved with Warrior Athletics, and the MARCOM Office at Corban University for the work that they have put into bringing WarriorTV to life.”
WarriorTV will carry all home men's and women's soccer, women's volleyball, and men's and women's basketball contests, as well as a select amount of baseball and softball home games through the 2012-13 season free to fans. Along with the live video stream, fans will also be able to follow the action via Live Stats through Corban's video portal without having to switch screens.
Over the past four years, Corban's Department of Athletics has been offering its fans the ability to follow Warrior Athletics live on the Internet through free video streaming thanks to partnerships that the Cascade Collegiate Conference had with Penn Atlantic and UpperSports.
With the launch of WarriorTV, fans can watch or listen to live and on-demand content just about anywhere they would like, thanks to Stretch Internet's dynamic streaming server software. Not only can fans access content on any iOS device (which includes iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches), but the streams are also compatible on any devices which support Flash, such as Android phones and tablets.
This is not the first time that Warrior Athletics has worked with Stretch Internet, as the two companies partnered during the 2005-06 season to bring fans five men's and women's basketball double headers live via Internet radio. Last year, Stretch Internet was gracious enough to allow Warrior Athletics to video stream the final two home softball games of the season.
"We're thrilled to partner with our first member of the Cascade Collegiate Conference," said Stretch Internet President Ryan Ermeling. "Since our initial interaction with Corban, we've seen a commitment to quality and a desire to offer the best product possible to Warriors fans, alumni and supporters. Our service will greatly elevate the presentation of Corban's broadcasts and allow fans to engage with the content in new and meaningful ways."
TNT Management Resources, Inc. has partnered with Corban Athletics over the past few years as a key sponsor of the annual Warrior Golf Classic as well as other endeavors that included the launch of FORE! Salem, which is the title sponsor of the 2012 & 2013 NAIA Men's Golf National Championships hosted by Corban and the Cascade Collegiate Conference.
“TNT Management Resources, Inc. is proud to come along side Corban University as a multi-year sponsor of Corban's new WarriorTV," said Joey Blubaugh, co-owner of TNT Management Resources, Inc. "Corban is a great community partner for Salem. WarriorTV is an exciting extension of Corban's many community and student outreach programs.”
WarriorTV will officially launch on Wednesday, August 22nd, when Corban's women's soccer team kicks off its 2012 season against Vancouver Island University beginning at noon on Warrior Field in Salem.
