Red Lion Players of the Week Selected
La Grande, Ore.- The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period September 3-9.
Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week
Eric Avila, a Southern Oregon sophomore from Chula Vista, Calif., has been chosen as the Red Lion Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Avila Finished top overall and led Raiders to the No. 1 team finish at Humboldt State Invite with a time of 24:48 in the 8k race.

Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week
Southern Oregon’s Summer Cano has been chosen the Red Lion Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Cano, a sophomore from Hillsboro, Ore. placed first overall and more than 27 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher. Her winning time of 22:00 minutes helped SOU finish second in the team standings behind only NCAA DII No. 22 Humboldt State at the Humboldt Invite.

Women’s Soccer- Defensive
Northwest Christian’s Kristen Fulbright has been chosen the Red Lion Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
The freshman goalkeeper from Eugene, Ore. posted back-to-back double-overtime shutouts this week. Fulbright also tied the NCU freshman record for shutouts in a season (3) in just four games and set a new NCU record for consecutive shutout streak at 254 minutes.

Women’s Soccer- Offensive
Southern Oregon’s Sydney Paulsen, a junior from Loveland, Colo. has been chosen the Red Lion Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Paulsen scored three goals and had two assists in helping her team go 2-1 during the week. The Raiders had wins over Holy Names (Calif.) and Simpson (Calif.) while dropping a match against Concordia (Calif.).

Men’s Soccer-Defensive
Northwest Christian’s Dusty Stephens, a red-shirt freshman from Happy Valley, Ore. has been chosen the Red Lion Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
The goalkeeper recorded his first career shutout, lifting the Beacons to their first ever victory over George Fox University.

Men’s Soccer-Offensive
Concordia's Septi Danciu has been chosen as the Red Lion Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Danciu scored the game-tying goal in the 88th minute against No. 7-ranked Eagles of Concordia-Irvine. Danciu's goal helped the Cavs come back against the top 10 team after falling behind 0-2 through the first 30 minutes of play. Danciu now leads the team in goals (2), assists (2) and points (6).

Volleyball Hitter of the Week
Southern Oregon’s Haley Kasler has been chosen the Red Lion Volleyball Hitter of the Week.
Kasler, a junior, helped lead SOU to three wins this week, including setting a career high in kills with 19 in a come-from-behind road match at Warner Pacific (SOU trailed 2-0) and tallying 11 kills without a single error against Concordia.

Volleyball Libero of the Week
Southern Oregon’s Renee Yomtob has been selected as the Red Lion Volleyball Libero of the Week.
Yomtob, a junior from Boise, ID., averaged almost six digs per set to help the Raiders win their first three CCC matches of the year over Oregon Tech, Warner Pacific and Concordia.

Volleyball Setter of the Week
Northwest’s Ashton Arbuthnot has been chosen as the Red Lion Volleyball Setter of the Week.
The Pullayup, Wash. freshman had match highs in assists in 4 of the 5 games NU won this week including a career high of 43 against Evergreen. Currently averaging 6.95 a/per set, 4th in overall CCC statistics.
