Gomyo Fills Athletic Training Position at Oregon Tech

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – The Oregon Tech athletic department announced today that Koichiro Gomyo has joined the Sports Medicine program at the university. Gomyo, who replaced Brian Quigley after three years at Oregon Tech, begins his athletic training duties immediately.

Most recently Gomyo spent the past two years as the Head Athletic Trainer at Damien Memorial School in Honolulu, Hawaii before making his move to the collegiate level this year.

Gomyo graduated from Indiana State University with a BS in Athletic Training.  At ISU, from 2006-10, Gomyo was a student trainer where he assisted with the cross country, football, women’s basketball and baseball teams.  In 2008 Gomyo summer interned for the Baltimore Orioles baseball organization and then at Nihon University in Tokyo, Japan.  Most recently Gomyo earned his Master of Science in Kinesiology and Rehabilitation Science from University of Hawaii at Manoa.
