LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Southern Oregon University women’s soccer team has been named the “Adidas Team of the Week” for October. 6-12, the Cascade Collegiate Conference announced Sunday.
The Raiders, led by Interim Head Coach Jenni Rosenberg, capped a weekend road sweep with wins against Eastern Oregon University 3-1 and The College of Idaho 2-1. With the victories SOU has won three straight matches and sits atop the CCC standings with 10 points. Four different player scored goals on the weekend with junior forward Julie Zamzow recording two of the five goals.
SOU (7-2-3, 3-0-1 CCC) will next compete against Concordia and Warner Pacific in home contests. The CCC matches will be Oct. 17
th and 19
th in Ashland.
