Red Lion Players of the Week Announced
LA GRANDE, Ore.- The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period October 7-13.
Paul Adams
Oregon Tech’s Paul Adams has been named the Red Lion Men’s Cross Country Runner of the week.
Adams, a sophomore from Klamath Falls, Ore., captured his fourth individual title of the fall winning the Northwest Christian Duals. His time of 25:45 over the 8000 meter course was the best of 21 runners.

A.J. Nelson
Warner Pacific’s A.J. Nelson has been named the Red Lion Men’s Golf Player of the Week.
Nelson, a senior from Huntley, Montana fired a 5-under par over three rounds to win the Warner Pacific Invitational held at Glendoveer Golf Course.
This was Nelson’s first individual medalist title.
Honorable mention: Jesse Heinly Concordia
Michael Chamberlain
Concordia’s Michael Chamberlain has been named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Chamberlain, a senior from Wailua, Hawaii, scored Concordia’s first two goals and added as assist in a 7-1 win over cross-town rival Warner Pacific
With the showing, Chamberlain took over the CCC lead with 11 goals scored this season.

Joe Galbraith
Northwest’s Joe Galbraith has been named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Galbraith, a senior from Whitefish, Mont., was a key factor in the Eagles' defensive effort stopping 7 Evergreen shots on goal and made 10 total saves to help preserve the victory for the Eagles

Patty Hughes
Northwest’s Patty Hughes has been named the Red Lion Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Hughes, a junior goalkeeper from Kalispell, Mont., averaged 100 minutes of play in two matches last week.
Hughes kept NCU scoreless in the 1-0 victory and had 5 saves in the tie against Corban

Dana McGowan
Northwest Christian’s Dana Mcgowan has been named the Red Lion Defensive Player of the Week.
Mcgowan, a senior from Pleasant Hill, Ore., Averaged 6.67 digs per set as NCU split a pair of home games. Her 33 digs against Warner Pacific were a season-high and pushed her over the top as she became the Beacons all-time leader for digs

Karly Stack
Eastern Oregon’s Karly Stack has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week.
Stack, a senior from Asquith, Sask., Canada, led the No. 10 ranked Mountaineers to victories over Evergreen and Northwest. Her 57 assists on Saturday night was a season-high.
Stack also recorded 13 digs and five kills and two block assists on the weekend.

Allison Duvenez
Northwest Christian’s Allison Duvenez has been named the Red Lion Women’s Cross Country Runner of the week.
Duvenez, a junior from Oak Harbor, Wash., led the No. 8 ranked Northwest Christian University women's cross country team to a perfect-score at the Northwest Duals.
The Beacons swept the top-seven spots in the race, paced by a 10-second victory for Duvenez. It was her first career victory in a cross country meet.

Kelsey Whiles
Concordia’s Kelsey Whiles has been named the Red Lion Women’s Golf Player of the Week.
Whiles, a freshman from Hockinson, WA., tied for first place at the Warner Pacific Invitational last week while helping Concordia to its second team title this year.
With her final-round score, Whiles became just the seventh Concordia golfer to shoot at or below a 73 for a single round.

Audrey Sullivan
Corban’s Audrey Sullivan has been named the Red Lion Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Sullivan, a senior from Pullayup, Wash., had a hand in all five of Corban's goals this week, as the fourth-year Warrior scored three times and handed out a pair of assists against Evergreen and Northwest.
